Selected Car Group processes your personal data on the following legal bases. The applicable legal basis depends on the nature of your enquiry.

- Contractual obligations: If your enquiry relates to the (potential) conclusion of a contract, we process your personal data in order to take steps prior to entering into that contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Retention period
The retention period depends on the nature of the enquiry. General enquiries are retained for up to 5 years for documentation purposes and in accordance with the provisions of the Limitation Act on the limitation period for ordinary monetary claims.

When you contact us, we may share your personal data with data processors who provide IT systems to support communication, including, for example, email service providers, in order to handle your enquiry.
Our data processors process your personal data on behalf of Selected Car Group and solely in accordance with documented instructions issued by Selected Car Group. Data processors only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific, limited tasks.

3. When you lease an asset (e.g. a car or motorbike)
This section sets out Selected Car Group’s policy on the processing of personal data relating to lessees of assets leased from Selected Car Group.
Types of personal data
When you lease an asset from us, Selected Car Group may collect, process and store the following types of personal data about you:
- Contact information such as name, address, e-mail address and phone number
- Your customer number
- Details of the asset you have leased, such as the number plate and the chassis number
- Financial information such as your account number, lease payments, deposit, bank details, and information shown on your bank statements and in your PBS agreement
- National ID number
- Information about your marital status, including the number of people in your household
- Information shown on your passport, driving licence and health insurance card
- Insurance details related to the leased asset
- Ongoing correspondence with you
Purposes of the processing
Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- Concluding a lease agreement with you
- General communication about your lease agreement
- Registering the asset’s users in the Register of Motor Vehicles
- Credit checks in accordance with the Credit Agreements Act
- Anti-money laundering checks in accordance with the Anti-Money Laundering Act
- Recovering outstanding debts
- Testing and training AI-based solutions to support and automate our administrative processes and functions
Legal basis of the processing
Selected Car Group processes your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contractual obligations: We process your personal data where this is necessary to enter into a lease agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Legitimate interests: We may process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests in communicating with you, preventing fraud, and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. In connection with the testing and development of our AI-based solutions, we conduct the final round of testing on real data, including personal data, before implementing the solutions in production. We do this for security reasons and on the basis of our legitimate interest in ensuring reliable solutions. We also train our AI-based solutions on the basis of our legitimate interest in continuously developing and improving our services (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Legal obligations: In some cases, we must process your personal data to comply with legal obligations, including our obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act to prevent illegal activities and under the Credit Agreements Act (Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Selected Car Group processes your national ID number to comply with our legal obligation to register information about the asset you have leased, as well as about you as a user, in the Register of Motor Vehicles, cf. Section 11(2)(1) of the Danish Data Protection Act. Selected Car Group also processes your national ID number to fulfil our legal obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Retention period
Information relating to accounting records is stored for 5 years from the end of the financial year to which the information relates. Your other personal data will also be stored for 5 years from the termination of the lease agreement. However, the information may be stored for a longer period in anonymised form.
Specifically for guarantors
If you are a guarantor, Selected Car Group may collect, process and store contact details, financial information and information contained in correspondence between you and Selected Car Group concerning you. The purpose of processing your personal data is to manage your role as a guarantor in relation to the lease agreement.

Categories of recipients
When you lease an asset, we may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients in connection with entering into and administering the lease agreement:
- Data processors who provide IT systems supporting the administration of the lease agreement, including, for example, email providers and providers of digital signature solutions, and data processors who provide our AI-based solutions supporting our administrative processes and functions.
- Third parties involved in registrations in the Register of Motor Vehicles.
Our data processors process your personal data on behalf of Selected Car Group and solely in accordance with documented instructions issued by Selected Car Group. Data processors only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific, limited tasks.

4. When you sign up for our newsletter(s) or participate in competitions
Types of personal data
Selected Car Group collects, processes and stores your personal data for marketing purposes when you subscribe to our newsletter(s) or take part in competitions. Selected Car Group may collect, process, and store the following types of personal data about you:
- Name and email address
- Your consent
- Your interests
- Your click behaviour in relation to marketing material sent to you

Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- Marketing
- Statistics and analysis
- Administrations of competitions
Legal basis of the processing
Selected Car Group processes your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent: Selected Car Group will use your personal data for direct marketing, including sending newsletters, only if you have given your prior explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Legitimate interests: We process your personal data for analysis and statistics, and to administer competitions, on the basis of our legitimate interests in improving and developing our services and administering our competitions (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Retention period
Where consent forms the basis for our processing, your personal data will be stored for as long as your consent to receive marketing communications remains active.
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of each email or by contacting us as described below. However, withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
We store documentation of your consent for 2 years from the date you withdraw your consent to receive direct marketing material. The retention period is determined on the basis of our legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate that we have sent direct marketing in accordance with applicable legislation (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
In relation to your participation in competitions, your personal data will be stored for 90 days from the date you enter the competition.

Selected Car Group collects, processes and stores your personal data when you participate in our events, trade fairs, networking events or similar events. Selected Car Group may collect, process, and store the following types of personal data about you:

- Information about your vehicle, including, for example, its brand and model
- Photographs

Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- Marketing
- Administration of events and trade fairs
Legal basis of the processing
Selected Car Group processes your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contractual obligations: In certain cases, the processing of your personal data is necessary to perform a contract with you regarding participation in events or trade fairs (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Legitimate interests: The processing of your personal data in the form of photographs is based on our legitimate interest in marketing. The processing of information about your vehicle is based on our legitimate interest in using that information to manage and organise events and trade fairs (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Retention period
Your personal data will be stored for 5 years from the date of your participation in the specific event. However, the information may be stored for a longer period in anonymised form.
Categories of recipients
When you participate in our trade fairs or other events, we may, in connection with the administration of your participation, share your personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Data processors who provide IT systems to support the administration of events, including, for example, email service providers and online ticketing systems
- Data processors who provide marketing support, including, for example, social media providers in connection with marketing our activities
- Other event participants, where participant lists are shared before the start of the event, in accordance with our legitimate interest in enhancing the benefits for participants and improving the participant experience (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Our data processors process your personal data on behalf of Selected Car Group and solely in accordance with documented instructions issued by Selected Car Group. Data processors only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific, limited tasks.

6. When you use our mobile app
This section sets out Selected Car Group’s policy on the processing of personal data when you use our mobile app as a private customer or as a secondary user under a business contract, including, for example, when you request a quote, subscribe to the newsletter via our mobile app, upload an item to your garage in the mobile app, or, as a sponsor, use our app in connection with your sponsorship.
Types of personal data
Selected Car Group may collect, process, and store the following types of personal data about you:
- Name, phone number and email address
- Information about the item – such as a car, motorbike or boat – that you upload to your garage, for example, number plate, registration certificate and insurance certificate. In this context, your national ID number will also be included. If you are a private customer, you can also view your financial details relating to the item.
- Login details and user status
- Company name and date of birth (for sponsors only)
- Information about your use of our mobile app, including click behaviour and communication with your leasing adviser via our mobile app
Purposess of the processing
Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- Marketing
- Operation and administration of the mobile app
- Statistics and analysis
- To make the mobile app’s features available to you, including, for example, the ability to view your lease agreement, set up your own garage or view your sponsor benefits
Legal basis of the processing
Selected Car Group processes your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent: Selected Car Group will use your personal data for direct marketing, including sending newsletters and offers, only if you have given your prior explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Legitimate interests: The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest in marketing our services via the mobile app, carrying out statistics and analysis, operating and administering the mobile app, and making the app’s features available to you (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Selected Car Group processes your national ID number as a result of our legal obligation to register information about the asset you have leased, as well as about you as a user, in the Register of Motor Vehicles, cf. Section 11(2)(1) of the Danish Data Protection Act. Selected Car Group also processes your national ID number to fulfil our legal obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Retention period

- Handling your enquiry, for example, regarding service, preparation or tire change
- General communication regarding your enquiry

When you visit our workshops, we may share your personal data with data processors who provide IT systems to support the administration of customer data, including, for example, booking systems, and communication services, including, for example, email providers.
Our data processors process your personal data on behalf of Selected Car Group and solely in accordance with documented instructions issued by Selected Car Group. Data processors only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific, limited tasks.

8. If you are a pooled fund investor
This section sets out Selected Car Group’s policy on the processing of your personal data if you are a pooled fund investor.
Collection of personal data
Selected Car Group may collect, process and store your personal data in the following situations:
- When you become a pooled fund investor with Selected Car Group
- When you exercise your rights as a pooled fund investor, including by attending meetings, etc.
- When you communicate with Selected Car Group

Selected Car Group may collect, process, and store the following types of personal data about you:
- Name, email address, phone number and similar contact details
- Contractual information and other agreements between you and Selected Car Group
- Information about your investor relationship with Selected Car Group, including financial information such as bank details, investment amounts and other authorisations associated with your relationship with Selected Car Group
- Identification documents, such as a driving licence, passport or health insurance card
- Information appearing on PEP lists
- Information appearing on international sanctions lists

- Contractual obligations: In certain cases, the processing of your personal data is necessary to perform a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Legitimate interests: We may process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests, for example, in communicating with you. Processing may also be necessary for our legitimate interest in preventing fraud or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Legal obligation: In some cases, we must process your personal data to comply with legal obligations, such as our obligation to prevent unlawful activities or our obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
- Consent: In exceptional cases, the processing of your national ID number will require us to obtain your consent (Section 11(2)(2) of the Danish Data Protection Act). In such cases, the specific purposes will be set out in the consent text.
Retention period
Information relating to accounting records is stored for 5 years from the end of the financial year to which the information relates. Your other personal data will also be stored for 2 years from your withdrawal as a pooled fund investor. However, the information may be stored for a longer period in anonymised form.

We may share your personal data with the following categories of data processors:
- Data processors who assist with the management and administration of share ownership and the settlement of share trades, as well as communication, including, for example, email service providers
- Data processors who provide IT systems for handling anti-money laundering checks

9. When you apply for a job at Selected Car Group
When you apply for a job with Selected Car Group, we process your personal data as part of the recruitment process.
We recommend that you do not include your national ID number or sensitive personal data in your application, such as personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religion, trade union membership, sexual orientation or health information.
Types of personal data
Selected Car Group may collect, process, and store the following types of personal data about you:
- Contact information such as your name, email address and phone number
- Information contained in your application, CV and any attachments
- Relevant information publicly available on the internet and social media, including, in particular, information about previous employment, activities, skills, performance and general conduct
- Results of personality tests, if you undertake such
- Criminal record, if required for the role you have applied for
- References from previous and/or current employers that you have listed in your application or consented to us contacting
- Other information you provide as part of the recruitment process
Purposes of the processing
Your personal data will be used to assess whether we wish to offer you a position at Selected Car Group.
Legal basis of the processing
Selected Car Group processes your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests: We may process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest in assessing whether we wish to offer you employment, including based on the information you provide in your CV, application and any attachments, relevant information publicly available on the internet and social media, the results of personality tests, references from the referees you have listed in your application, and any other information you provide in connection with the recruitment process. The processing may also be necessary for our legitimate interest in exercising or defending legal claims (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Retention period
If you are offered a position at Selected Car Group, your application and any additional relevant personal data collected during the recruitment process will be stored in a personnel file held by us.
If you are not offered a position, we will store your application and any additional personal data collected in connection with the recruitment process for a period of 6 months following our rejection, unless you have given your consent to the storage of such personal data for a longer period.
You may withdraw any consent you may have given as part of our recruitment process at any time. Withdrawal of your consent will affect future processing of your personal data, but will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal. If you wish to withdraw your consent, you may contact us as set out below.
Criminal records are deleted immediately after we have reviewed them.

This section sets out Selected Car Group’s policy on the processing of personal data relating to sole traders or contact persons at suppliers, business customers, other external partners, sponsors, etc. who collaborate with Selected Car Group.

- When your business or the business for which you work enters into an agreement with Selected Car Group

Legal basis of the processing
Selected Car Group processes your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests: We base the processing of your personal data on our legitimate interests in granting you access to our office facilities and other buildings and in protecting our physical locations (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation). Information relating to criminal offences collected through CCTV is also processed on the basis of Selected Car Group’s legitimate interests in investigating criminal offences (Section 8(3) of the Danish Data Protection Act).
Retention period
Your personal data will be stored for 30 days, unless we need to store it for longer to investigate a specific case. However, the data may be stored for longer in anonymised form.
Recordings from CCTV installed for the purpose of combating crime are stored for a maximum of 30 days.
- Categories of recipients
When you visit our physical premises, we may share your personal data with data processors who provide IT systems to support the administration of security solutions, including CCTV.
Our data processors process your personal data on behalf of Selected Car Group and solely in accordance with documented instructions issued by Selected Car Group. Data processors only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific, limited tasks.

12. When you visit our social media profiles
This section sets out Selected Car Group’s policy on the processing of personal data collected via Selected Car Group’s social media profiles or pages.
Selected Car Group has profiles or pages on the following social media platforms:
- Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.)
- YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.)
- LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company)
- Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.)
For LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, Selected Car Group and the social media providers are joint data controllers for the processing of personal data collected in connection with your interactions with the profiles, including posts on the profiles.
Selected Car Group and the providers of LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram have entered into an agreement on the allocation of data protection responsibilities. Under these agreements, Selected Car Group and the social media providers are each responsible for the tasks associated with the processing we each carry out. However, it has been agreed between Selected Car Group and the provider of Facebook and Instagram that the provider is responsible for enabling you to exercise your rights as described in the section ‘Your rights’ below, in connection with the use of Facebook and Instagram, and that Selected Car Group is responsible for providing you with the information described below. It has also been agreed between Selected Car Group and LinkedIn that LinkedIn is responsible for responding to requests from you regarding the rights described in the ‘Your rights’ section below.
Selected Car Group also uses YouTube as a data processor in connection with these entities’ use of YouTube and, in this context, shares certain information about your interactions, interests, etc. with YouTube. This sharing is based on Selected Car Group’s and Google’s legitimate interest in optimising marketing and the service, including our videos, on YouTube (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Collection of personal data
When you visit or interact with our social media profiles, Selected Car Group and the provider of the relevant social media platform may collect, process and store the following types of personal data about you:
- Information available on your profile, including your name, gender, marital status, place of work, interests, profile picture and your town
- Whether you have ‘liked’ or used other reactions on our profile
- Comments you leave on our posts
- That you have visited our profile
- Your IP address
Purposes of the processing
Selected Car Group processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- To improve our services, including our social media profiles and pages
- Statistics and analysis
- To communicate with you if you comment on a post, leave a review or send us a message
- General marketing
The social media providers process your personal data for the following purposes, among others:
- Improving their advertising system
- To provide Selected Car Group with statistics, which the social media providers compile, among other things, based on your visits to our profiles and pages
- Advertising and personalising activities on the page.
Legal basis of the processing
The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal basis:
- Legitimate interests: Selected Car Group bases the processing of your personal data on our legitimate interests in communicating with you and marketing to you via our social media profiles, as well as our legitimate interest in improving our services (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Retention period
Direct enquiries are generally stored for up to 3 years, but the storage period depends on the content of the enquiry.
We encourage you to delete any comments, likes and other interactions you have left on our profile if you no longer wish them to be displayed on our pages. Selected Car Group does not delete such publicly available interactions.
Please refer to the privacy policy of the respective social media platform for information on how long they retain your personal data.
- Categories of recipients
When you visit our profile on our social media platforms, we may share your personal data with data processors who provide IT systems to support marketing, including social media providers where we may market our activities.

With whom do social media providers share your personal data?
Social media providers may, among other things, share your personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Other entities within the group to which the social media provider belongs
- External partners who provide analytics and research services
- Advertisers
- Other individuals who visit our profile or page on the social media platform (to the extent that your personal data is publicly available)
- Researchers

Social media providers may transfer your personal data to recipients outside the EU/EEA in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. You can read more in the privacy policies of the individual providers.

13. Disclosure to other data controllers
Transfers
Under each of the sections above, you can read about the categories of data processors with whom we may share your personal data. The information below supplements the information on data processors listed in each of the sections above.
Disclosures
As a general rule, your personal data will not be disclosed to a third party without your consent. However, in certain circumstances and in accordance with applicable law, it may be necessary to disclose your personal data to, for example, the police, solicitors, auditors, courts, debt collection agencies, tax authorities, insurance companies, potential buyers, other public authorities and affiliated companies.
Changes to the corporate structure
As Selected Car Group develops, the corporate structure may change, for example, through the full or partial sale of the business. In the event of a partial transfer of assets containing personal data, the legal basis for the associated disclosure of personal data is, as a general rule, Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, as Selected Car Group has an interest in transferring parts of its assets and in making commercial or structural changes.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
If your personal data is transferred to data processors or data controllers established in countries outside the EU/EEA that do not have an adequate level of protection, such a transfer will only take place once a legal basis for the transfer has been secured. In addition, the transfer will be based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (which you may request to see) for transfers to third countries and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
14. Your rights
- You have the right to access the personal data that we process about you
- You have the right to object to our collection and further processing of your personal data
- You have the right to have your personal data rectified and erased, subject to certain statutory exceptions, including under the Danish Bookkeeping Act
- You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data
- In certain circumstances, you may also request a copy of your personal data and request that the personal data you have provided to us be transferred to another data controller (data portability)
- You may withdraw any consent you may have given at any time. We will then delete your personal data, unless we can continue processing it on another legal basis. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking the link at the bottom of the newsletter.
