Selected Car Group’s automotive universe is built on strong synergies across our business areas: leasing, investment, events, collection, and racing.
Selected Car Group has roots dating back to 1992, when the first Mercedes-Benz cars from the SL series were purchased. Since then, a lot of water has flowed under the Lillebælt Bridge, which is located just a stone’s throw from our headquarters in Middelfart, right by the motorway. Today, Selected Car Group is a collection of Denmark’s strongest car companies under one common umbrella – with the sole aim of giving our customers the opportunity to experience more. The history of
Selected Car Group
1992
Selected Car Group has roots dating back to 1992, when the first car in what is now the Selected Car Collection was purchased.
2009
Sports Car Leasing is established and later renamed Selected Car Leasing, and is now part of the Selected Car Group.
2016
Torben Østergaard-Nielsen (owner of SelfInvest) becomes co-owner of Selected Car Leasing (50%). Selected Car Collection and Selected Car Investment are established.
2017
Selected Car Group opens the doors to a new headquarter at Stensgårdsvej in Middelfart.
2018
Torben Østergaard-Nielsen aquires 100% ownership of Selected Car Group.
2019
Selected Car Group expands its headquarters in Middelfart by 2,200 m2.
2020
Selected Car Group expands its business with a 5,118 m2 car showroom in Køge.
2022
Solid Leasing and Selected Car Group merges under the latter's brand, and ownership is shared equally between Torben Østergaard-Nielsen and Jacob Brunsborg.
2023
Selected Car Group expands with the acquisition of A-Leasing and CC-Cars in Ans.
2024
A-Leasing Vans and Premium Leasing is established as independent companies within Selected Car Group.
2025
Selected Car Group launches SCG Mobile App, bringing together the entire group's automotive universe in one digital solution.
Merger creates Denmark's largest leasing and investment group for premium cars
In the spring of 2022, it was announced that two of Denmark’s largest leasing companies, Solid Leasing and Selected Car Group, merged into one business under the latter’s brand, which started a new chapter in the group’s history. The merger created a joint car fleet with more than 5,000 contracts and once again cemented the company’s leading position in the market. Selected Car Group is today owned and firmly rooted in two of Denmark’s largest family-owned groups through Torben Østergaard-Nielsen’s Selfinvest and Jacob Brunsborg’s Lars Larsen Group, who each own 50% of the business.
In addition, the old Solid Leasing department in Silkeborg moved from its former location on Ballevej to a new exclusive car house at Kejlstrupvej 87 in Silkeborg. Here, the old College360 building has been completely renovated, where Selected Car Group now belongs in a fantastic setting with leasing and collector cars.
